Save The Arm Alert Safety Tattoos (TM) are designed to be applied to the upper extremity and create a visible alert that the patient is not to receive intervention in that particular extremity.

Save The Arm(TM) Alert Safety Tattoos comes in a variety of shapes and sizes and are emblazoned with the easy to recognize Save The Arm slogan which says: “STOP! Save The Arm.  No Stick, No IV,  No PICC, This Side!” An easily recognizable Save The Arm logo also helps to convey the message.

Save The Arm Alert Safety Tattoos(TM) are manufactured using a hypoallergenic material which washes off with soap and water.

Save The Arm Alert Safety Tattoos(TM) are intended primarily for use in outpatient, inpatient, emergency and clinical environment as a visual alert for medical personnel but can also be used to create awareness, in mannequin simulation techniques and as part of  general venapuncture,  injection, IV access, phlebotomy and PICC line training and quality assurance and training programs.  Tattoos should not be used as the sole source of warning and identification of patients who should not have interventions when protection of an upper extremity is desired, but can be a part of a comprehensive safety program.
